Bulgarian Lavender is normally one of our lowest price lavenders, however both 2017 and more seriously 2018 saw dreadful weather immediately preceding the harvest. This year, 2018, saw the harvest decimated by heavy rains. Our producer says that production was far lower than in any previous year, with concurrent higher prices. The limited harvest, however, has yielded a magnificent oil.
If you are looking for a Lavender Essential Oil for relaxing in the tub, or diffusing for soothing, relaxation, or wooing sleep, this is a good one for you. I’ve been mixing it with our Rose Geranium and quite honestly can’t get enough of the blend. Added to soap or lotions the blend produces a wonderfully soothing “Grandma’s Garden” scent-memory and is part of the secret of our Mille Fleur goats milk soap.
Like all true Lavender oils, our French and Bulgarian, English and Indian Lavenders are anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and, possibly, anti-viral. Lavender functions as an adaptogen, aiding in restoring the body to balance.
SHELF LIFE: Approximately 2 to 3 years after you open the bottle. Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life.
Fun fact: Cloning is an ancient form of farming to propagate the parent plant to form seedlings, passing down the same characteristics harvest after harvest.

I love the deep and encompassing smell of the Bulgarian Lavender. Some oils smell better in an aroma lamp, or on the skin, or in a spray, but this smells great every way. In fact this oil is the one that convinced me that Marge has the best quality oils, as I never knew I could love a lavender before this. Beyond the most luxurious true lavender smell, it almost has a bit of green, fresh outdoors- behind the scenes hint to it, which makes it feel alive.

I fell and had a huge bruise on the side of my knee my neighbor introduced me to this and the trauma oil and my bruise is now almost gone without these 2 products I would probably still have the bruise
