Description
I love to flavor a bottle of water with a splash of Lemon Thyme Hydrosol and I’m drinking it right now, for the delightful lemon flavor.
This delightfully gentle lemony-scented hydrosol is a powerful antibacterial. A not yet published pilot study at UCLA Allergy Clinic shows that the hydrosol is effective for patients suffering from sinusitis and inflammation. One ml of hydrosol in a personal facial steamer two or three times a day is showing great results.
There are also studies showing that Lemon Thyme Hydrosol is a powerful anti-microbial, killing Candida albicans within 12 hours and Pseudomonas aeruginosaand E. coli within 24 hours. The above research has been shared prior to publication by Ann Harman and I can’t wait to read the published article.
In the meantime, I often get requests for suggestions for dealing with systemic candida. I think the oral use of Lemon Thyme Hydrosol would be well worth trying. As with any of the thyme species, Thymus citriodorus can be a skin irritant, I would use with caution on sensitive skin.

My favorite hydrosol. Useful for culinary dishes, cleaning agent as well as the medicinal attributes !!
