Product Information

Marjoram’s aroma is slightly spicy, warm and soothing. It blends well with Orange, Eucalyptus (softening it, somewhat) and Lavender. I sometimes blend it with Clary Sage, especially for menstrual difficulties.

Marjoram Oil has been used to lower high blood pressure. It warms the skin, where applied. Marjoram’s powerful antispasmodic action can ease pains of arthritis, cramped muscles, muscle spasms, and menstrual cramps. (Try blending with Clary Sage for relieving menstrual cramps; the result is almost magical!) It has a calming, slightly sedative action and can be effective against some types of migraines.

Educator and author Madeleine Kerkhof-Knapp Hayes advises use of anti-oxidant and antibacterial Sweet Marjoram for any sort of skin infection. She says add to bandaid/bandage, use to cover the wound (i.e, add to the dressing, not directly to the wound itself.)She further suggests its use for infected wounds, necrotic tissue (to help with the smell) ulcers and abscesses. Madeleine recommends a blend of Lavender, Helichrysum, Geranium and Sweet Marjoram to add to wound dressings, to clear infections and speed healing.

Sweet Marjoram mixes well with Lavender or Rosewood or English Chamomile for a very relaxing bath.

WARNING: This oil can stimulate menstrual flow, and thus should never be used during pregnancy.

SHELF LIFE: Approximately 2 to 3 years after you open the bottle. Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life.

I originally purchased this to have on hand for a strained and/or sore muscle message blend -(the ‘after you do-everything on the list’ wk-end). But recently discovered this smells super nice with lemon and lavender in the evening! I tried both this version & CO2, and prefer this one in the combination above. The CO2 is more true to the original … but I am liking this one just a tad bit more! I am using it so much that it’s on my re-order list!! High recommend!

One of my favorite relaxing oils. The perfect balance of sweet, floral, spicy, and green. I typically use it in my diffuser in the evening to support a relaxing breathing blend or in the bath to relax the muscles. Emotionally I’ve found this marjoram helpful for confidence/loneliness.
