  Thyme, Borneol (no ratings yet)
Thymus satureiodes Cosson, wildcrafted, from young branches with leaves and blossoms and distilled by EcoCert certified distillers, Morocco.

Much milder and gentler than the Thyme Thymol described elsewhere, this oil has less than 8% of the ketones found in Thyme thymol, instead is high in the monoterpenols borneol and α terpineol (over 40%).

It’s the monoterpenols that give this thyme specimen its powerful antibacterial and antiviral properties, with a much lower risk of irritation than found in some other oils. Thyme Borneol is reputed to be a powerful immune system stimulant. It is often used to treat digestive and circulatory issues, to relieve muscle and joint pain, and to combat respiratory infections. I have seen it recommended, by inhalation, as a treatment for exhaustion, both physical and mental and wonder if it might be useful for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

My friend Gabriel Mojay says that Thyme Oil is energizing and dispels despondency. “Thyme seeks to imbue spiritual fortitude and bodily vigor.”

SHELF LIFE: Approximately 2 to 3 years after you open the bottle.  Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life.

GC/MS Analysis:
Batch No. MO-B930031
Batch No. MO-B930033

BLENDS WITH: It is said to blend well with Bergamot, Lavender, Lemon, Melissa, Rosemary, Sweet Marjoram, and Pine. (I think blending with mild Sweet Marjoram would support the Thyme oil’s anti-spasmodic effects and give a wonderful blend for pain relief.)
