This new and relatively unknown oil from high in the Himalayas is known for its grounding and centering effects. A wonderful addition to any meditation blend or to create a sacred space for worship or ritual.

I think it would be useful to counter anxiety. I’m told that it can help quiet mental “chatter”…I’m planning on adding a drop to my Aromastone on the nights that my “to do list” insists on scrolling all night long.

As a respiratory oil, Rhododendron is helpful in “drying up” a running nose…it is said to reduce mucous production as well as aid in inflammation and swelling in the sinus area.

I have seen it recommended for Rheumatoid Arthritis, especially when blended with Frankincense, to reduce inflammation in muscles and joints. I’ve also seen it recommended in treating gout. I have also seen it recommended for support of the adrenals and of the liver.

This is an exciting new oil with a wide range of positive effects. We look forward to hearing your experiences with it.

Because it is so new and there are few tests I’ve been able to find we would suggest avoiding during pregnancy or with small children.

Joy Musacchio of StillPoint Studies writes, "This oil assists one in getting our of one's own way. Helps connect us to our inner childlike joy and trust in the universe. We have found it to be very helpful to deal with and release emotional and mental pain as well as heal broken lifelines and to create reconciliation. This is a great essential oil to assist one in moving through loss and bereavement especially when used in combination with Melissa officinalis."  Reading the above, I can't help wondering if a touch of Spikenard, for forgiveness and self forgiveness, might not also be helpful in that blend.
