Myrrh, another of the ancient “sacred resins” has been used as an astringent for thousands of years. Myrrh is an effective antifungal and antibacterial oil, and I would expect this gentle hydrosol to have the same healing effects.
Myrrh oil is said to help ease the itching and irritation of weeping eczema, and helps fight the fungus that causes jock strap itch. I would use the hydrosol for both conditions.
Where this hydrosol really shines though, is in treating gum diseases and sores in the mouth. It makes an excellent mouthwash to promote oral health.
WARNING: Totally avoid while pregnant or breastfeeding. Can interfere with the development of blood vessels. This warning applies to the distilled oil and the CO2 extract, but I would use caution even with the gentle distillate water.
Our hydrosols are packaged in PET bottles with atomizer tops for ease of use. Hydrosols are perishable: keep refrigerated. For more information on how they’re made and their uses, click here.
