- Monarda has been a healing herb used by the Native Americans for thousands of years. Chemically, it is very similar to Thyme, the mild chemotype geraniol. Susan Catty recommends its use in treating fungal infections whether as a wash for the skin or a douche, while the producer says that it is anti-bacterial and anti-viral as well as anti-fungal.
Catty recommends using it as a substitute for the much harder to source Thyme Geraniol hydrosol, using it to cleans wounds and cuts, use as a toner for skin with acne, as a mouthwash, and, taken internally, as an immune booster.
We are delighted to be able to offer another gentle germ killer and anti-fungal!
