Inspired by the New Year approaching along with looking back on 2020, an ease into this long awaited transition seemed necessary.
We will all most likely be celebrating from the comforts of home or in company of close friends. That does not mean that it has to be any less significant or commemorative.
The allure of a dignified evening. Nostalgic thoughts of times once perceived as “simpler”. Envisioning a stone fireplace with a roaring oak fire, surrounded by first edition novels and hearing the fuzz of the needle gentle humming the tunes from the turntable. Fine china, clinking glasses, and a humbling game of Scrabble. Conversations, laughter, and the realization of what is truly important…. Living in the present and feeling gratitude for the company you share. What does it take to be a connoisseur of the finest things in life?
With all of that being said, we’ve created a blend that brings out the same virility, strength, and perseverance of the determined ox, who is not only a zealous worker but a devoted companion.

Metal Ox is a blend of organically produced Virgin Sesame Oil and White Camellia Oil. The foundation of these fast absorbing oils provide exceptional moisturizing and blemish healing benefits for all skin types. A traditionally masculine blend of wood, spice, and citrus, we do not consider Metal Ox 2021 exclusively for men. In fact, I am wearing it now as I write this and will be taking a bottle home. The Coriander CO2 has eased the pain in my left wrist. The Bergamot FCF(skin safe) has awakened my mind to put my thoughts into words. The Ruh Khus and Siberian Fir have kept me grounded. This has not been an easy year, but we made it. And the Cognac EO, well…. the Cognac is what inspired this all to come to fruition. Like the ox, Metal Ox 2021 brings dignity, humility, and prosperity with the flair and dedication of Nature’s Gift.
The legend behind the name:
The Ox is the second of all zodiac animals. According to one myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. The Ox was about to be the first to arrive, but Rat tricked Ox into giving him a ride. Then, just as they arrived, Rat jumped down and landed ahead of Ox. Thus, Ox became the second animal. Oxen are honest and earnest. They are low key and never look for praise or to be the center of attention. This often hides their talent, but they’ll gain recognition through their hard work.
They believe that everyone should do what’s asked for them and stay within their bounds. Though they are kind, it’s difficult for them to understand persuasion using pathos. Rarely losing their tempers, they think logically and make great leaders.
