Description
Aroma: The aroma of this cedarwood is a beautiful balsamic and lightly sweet one that is just dreamy! It has a nice woodsy aroma that is similar to my beloved Alligator Juniper, but is not as pronounced. The color is just as beautiful as the aroma, too! It is a deep red to brown color that is quite eye catching!
Aromatherapist notes: This particular essential oil is distilled from the heart wood and not the outer portion of the trunk wood so the color will be a beautiful deep red to dark brown color.
Growing up in Oklahoma, I was surrounded by these trees! I have always been deeply connected to them so I had to find a distiller that offered it. I like to use this particular cedarwood for littles when they have colds. I have found it to be soothing and can help break up mucous associated with respiratory colds. It also makes a wonderful addition to muscle tissue blends with the cedrene’s anti-inflammatory actions.
Recommended applications: Diffuse, topical application using safe dilution ratios, steam inhalation, inhaler.
Blends with: Bergamot, Black Pepper, Black Spruce, Blood Orange Cinnamon, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Cypress, Douglas-fir, Eucalyptus Ironbark, Grapefruit, Ginger, Helichrysum, Kunzea, Red Mandarin, Sweet Marjoram, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Scotch Pine, Vetiver, and Ylang Ylang.
Shelf Life: About 6-8 years
A couple of months ago, our good friend, Lola King completed her final inventory for Be Kind Botanicals. It was both a blessing and bittersweet. She worked for close to a decade to provide the best oils she could find, even if it meant processing the plant material herself and having a distiller obtain it through distillation. When Marge heard the news of her closing Be Kind Botanicals, she jumped at the opportunity to snag some of her finest inventory before it was gone for good. We are delighted to present to you our “Be Kind” Collection, so that you can experience what Lola and Marge find to be some of the most exquisite offerings of essential oils from around the globe… New Zealand Lavender may be the top of the list. These are in limited supply and will only be sold in retail sizes.
