I love the sweet/spicy scent of Coriander Seed Oil. To me, the scent is warm, welcoming and relaxing. After placing a drop from a sample on a scent strip, one customer describes her experience, "The story completely changed. Nature’s Gift coriander CO2 had sweet, nutty aroma hours after the initial application on the scent strip that reminded me of fine English toffees. It is such a special note to experience and I immediately placed my order! I don’t know if that’s typical of all coriander CO2, but I understood why this CO2 was offered, not a regular coriander essential oil. I really admire Marge’s attention to fine details like that!"

Coriander Essential Oil can stimulate appetite, ease indigestion, and relieve neuralgia. It is useful as both an antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory, a gentle addition to rubs for aching muscles. It is more gently stimulating than most spice oils. Shirley Price recommends it in anti-flu blends, says that it is anti-bacterial. I think it would be a nice addition to a “chest rub.”

Mark Webb, of Aromamedix.com recommends the use of Coriander CO2 as stomachic and carmnative, ideal for gently easing indigestion or an upset stomach.

In early autumn I tend to blend it with orange for the lamp. It heralds the change of seasons for me. Coriander, Basil, Vetiver, and Orange make a wonderful daytime perfume blend.

Battaglia recommends Coriander for treating arthritis, gout, muscular aches and pains and rheumatism, as well as digestive disorders.

Although like the other spices it is normally listed as a stimulant, I often add a few drops to the aroma lamp, blended with some Mandarine. In our house it relaxes and seems to remove irritation and snappishness. A wonderfully calming and soothing oil without sedating. Good at the end of a hard day.

SHELF LIFE: Approximately 2 to 3 years after you open the bottle.  Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life.

Customer Reviews

  • 5 Very special coriander

Posted by Marina from California on 05/09/2019

I requested sample of Coriander CO2, along with other coriander samples from different vendors, to decide on my coriander purchase. The first impression of corianders are all very similar, dominated by high linalool contents of the oil, but certainly a “cleaner” quality compared to something like ho wood. First impression of this coriander CO2 was certainly nice and clean, and even though it was obviously better compared to other coriander essential oils (they were still really good samples) like I expect from all of Nature’s Gift selections, I was still debating if the extra $ on this oil would be worth it for my personal use.

However, upon the dry down on the fragrance strip, the story completely changed. I really admire Marge’s attention to fine details like that!
