Sale pricing on our Spring Sunshine blend, and many of our favorite “green and leafy” oils because they feel like springtime. We’ve also improved our That’s Better Massage blend...made it more effective at no price increase. See all of these on our March New and Specials Page.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY

Monday March 17th: Use the Promotional code shamrock at checkout, press apply, and save 17% on all our Aromatherapy Accessories: Diffusers, bottles and jars, inhalers, aromatherapy jewelry.

Equinox Sale: This year’s calendar has me confused. I am used to the equinox, and the promised first day of Spring being on the 21st. This year’s calendar says that it falls on March 20th. So, in case I am not the only one confused, we will have a celebrate springtime sale on BOTH days. On Thursday, March 20 and Friday March 21 enter the promo code Spring and receive a discount of somewhere between 10% and 21% on all of our “normally discounted” retail products. As usual, bulk products, kits, fast buys will not be included, but almost all of our retail products will be. Obviously for most of the two day period the discount will be 10 or 12%, but it will range all the way up to 21% at various times.

BLOG UPDATES

Our “Fragrant February” blog articles concluded with various “romance” blends, Valentine perfume blends, recipes featuring rose oil and rose hydrosol, the classic Carly’s Blend for romance, Rose flavored whipped cream and Rose Honey (the way to a man’s heart...). A solution to a visit from a skunk, a honey based cleanser for your face or to use in the shower, a reprint of our “Origin’s Style” salt scrub, my yummy Rose Layer Cake, a bright and shiny room spray, and an interview with a TV celebrity that explained why we do what we do. All of these are listed in our February blog archive.

I hope to do a lot of “March Massage” posts this month. So far we have a calming massage blend for restlessness and some suggested Backache Blends. (I am assuming, if you have chronic backaches, that you have already tried our Miracle Blend and That’s Better; both on our blends for physical wellbeing page.)

I just posted one of the most circulated Facebook posts I have ever put on Facebook, “It is not DETOX.” So many people are injured by using undiluted essential oils, and are told “your body is detoxing.” It is not a detox reaction; it is a chemical burn.

FACEBOOK NOTES

All of the blog articles mentioned above were shared on Facebook, as well as a lot more information. We shared a research study showing that chamomile extract is proven effective in combating anxiety and clinical depression. (We were surprised. In most cases they merely mentioned “Chamomile” but the one refernce that referred to a specific variety referenced German Chamomile. We would have thought the Roman.)

A LOT of safety information was shared. One of the most viewed posts was a graphic we created reminding people that undiluted essential oil use can cause damage, referenced in the Blog article above. We urge those who have been injured (or have friends/family who were injured) by unwise neat or internal use of these powerful healing oils to report their experience in the adverse events database here.

Articles about how to add some exercise to your office/workplace routine, an article on how our perception of an aroma varies depending on its label, a graphic showing WHY inhalation gets the molecules of an oil into the bloodstream faster than topical application, and, of course, a lot more hints, tips, and suggested blends. Quote of the Month

“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”— Charles Dickens

Awake, thou wintry earth -
Fling off thy sadness!
Fair vernal flowers, laugh forth
Your ancient gladness!
— Thomas Blackburn, “An Easter Hymn”

No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn. —Hal Borland

(even though it does not feel that way this week!)

Have a good month everyone!
